I just bought the card and can not enable tv out... i have an s-video connector and all... Tv-out worked with my Nvidia Geforce2 Mx400 card but not now... it shows two monitors in desktop settings but if i click enable to enable the tv and apply it just turns it back off.. any suggestions?

The Radeon cards use Hydrovision - that secondary display is your TV output. Check either ATI's web site our the manual that came with the card, but I'm pretty sure that secondary display is Hydrovision's dual display properties.

HTH.

Are you using resolutions that are consistant with a TV? As far as I know, 800x600 is the best a TV could display considering it's a interlacing tube.

Yep... try setting the resolution to 800x600 and hitting apply and still unchecks the "extend desktop to this monitor box..." I am begining to think that it is just not detecting my tv... in the advanced display properties where it list all things it detects.. says it isn't detecting tv

Forcing TV out

I downloaded the most recent Catalyst drivers last night and in the new version of the Control Panel you can click on a new button labelled "Troubleshooting" on the screen where you enable and disable devices and you can "force" the TV to be recognized.

I've never tried using TV out, but it's something to try.
