Question GeForce 2 video probs????

I have a GeForce 2 mx/mx400 video card in a athlon 1700 xp running windoes xp home, with a new KDS VS-190is 19 inch monitor. For some reason every since I added new monitor, I cant run high ress, well anything over 800x600 & no 3d accel. when I do it locks up.Do I need a new video card? Is mine not capable of handeling high ress 19 inch?Can anyone help me out with this problem??? I have updated all my drivers, even checked my video card, looks good & says its working properly.

Where there drivers for your monitor? Sometimes you must have a specified driver on a CD or floppy to install onto your hard drive so that you may view high res on your screen. If not, you should be able to right click your desktop and select Properties. Then go to your Settings tab and click on the Advanced button. Then at the top should tell you what monitor type you have. If your monito isnt listed there try and go to your Control Panel and search for new hardware and see if Windows will recogize the monitor and install it for you.

If none of this works you may need to update your video card. Something with a little bit more beef! Good luck!

Thxs for the tip, I think I got it now, cant afford another bideo card right now, saveing up for a real good one, but they came out with a new driver for the Geforce back about August 13, seems to be working now, thxs again for the help
