ATI 7000 in HP pavilion 7855

This is really starting to drive me crazy. here is the problem. I have a HP Pavilion 7855. It has onboard video. the onboard video chipset is Intel 82810E graphics controller. I am trying to install an ATI Radeon 7000 PCI video card. I have followed the "Adding a Video Card to an HP..." instructions that I found on the HP site. It did not work. The problem I am having is once I install the card I power on. I get the HP BIOS splash screen (blue iwth the HP logo). Then about 2 seconds later it locks up. with the BIOS splash screen still there. I think it is failing its POST test. but I get no beep codes. I am able before it locks up to press F1 and it says entering SETUP... but it still locks up. This is the only added product I have put into the computer. The only other things attached are an HP printer and an HP scanner. Any Advice or suggestions.
Oh I forgot. everything is PCI.

Remove the card, check the mobo for a jumper to disable the ob graphics, or get into the bios and disable the ob graphics. When thats done try reinstalling the card.
