saving my vc?

ok i have a samsung syncmaster 750s & a radeon 9000 64mb vc. i run lots of high-end games, but only at 800x600 res. would my vc last longer if i were to leave it at this resolution, with all textures, effects, etc. at max, or instead run everything at 1024x768 with special effects at max and not really worry about it? im not sure of what this stuff is capable of, and I dont want to burn it out or anything. i believe the card was benchmarked w/ut 2k3 or whatever.

I'm sure it would be fine boosting the res up to 1024 if there are no frame rate stutters. If your GPU has sufficient cooling by all means go ahead and use what you've got, its not worth it if you dont.

If the card 'burns out' at high resolutions, then it's due for an RMA anyway.

Agreed, as long as it has adequate cooling (at least a heatsink) it will be fine.
