Question Audio low When Recording TV

all of the scheduling stuff works just fine, but i was wondering if there is any way to boost the audio that it is recording. when i am watching tv, it is just fine, but the recording audio is almost inaudible. i am using dvd-mode for recording, as i am going to burn the stuff to dvd. i am taping news broadcasts with video that i edit to keep for resumes. i just can't seem to get the audio high enough when recording. is there a better option than dvd for recording? thanks in advance

Cool

What card are you using? I have a ATI TV Tuner VE and have the same problem. Unable to adjust volume. I've tried using Aux, MIC and am currently using the Line In connection. I can hear and the sound is clear. I just wish I could get it louder.

i am using aiw 8500 le. i am using the line in and it will not go up any higher. does yours work for you when you are watching tv, just not when recording, or does yours not work sound-wise at all. hopefully we can figure this out.

I orginally had a problem with the gain. It wasn't too loud, but it was fuzzy.

I did a regedit in HKCU > Software > ATI Technologies > Multimedia > Features > TV > Sound > Record Volume.

It's now set to 103. I had it up to 128. But it was too loud. Before that, it was 300+.

thanks i will try that, and let you know how it works. did u have to turn the volume up kinda high and then it was sorta fuzzy, or was it still audible? thanks

edit: record volume is currently at 828, do you think that that is kinda high? what about UserRecVol at 1? do you know what this key does? thanks
