new digital camera
I dont know if this should go into this section but I'm looking for a new camera, I want something that I can get a lot of photos with so I might want just a decent camera and to get a huge memory card. Anyways the camera I have now is slow and eats batteries like crazy. The batteries don't bother me much but I want a camera that doesn't take 45 seconds to start up and a minute between shots. I also dont want to spend much over 200 on the camera. Any Ideas?
Thanks a lo. |

A $200 budget is rather limiting. You should still be able to get a good 2 megapixel camera for that.
For your budget, I don't think you can beat the Canon A60. The DIG!C processing off the CCD chip is more advanced than just about anything you'll find on a competing camera. We just picked up the A80 (4MP big brother) for my Mom's birthday and she love's it. We also picked up a highspeed compact flash card so delays between pictures would be minimal. Dave.

Speed is one of the things you pay dearly for. And, strangely, it's often not mention in reviews, unless it's outstanding (or at least pretty good).
One thing you may want to consider is to check out places like TechTV.com, PCWorld, etc... and look at their camera reviews. Prices have dropped considerably, so you should be able to get a decent one for $200 for snapshot and Web use. HtH TwoRails |
