MP3 player recomendations?
My wife works out allot and no matter what level of anti-skip she has tried on a "walkman" type cd player she gets irritated at the performance. She has been hinting that she'd like to try a sports MP3 player with either 64 or 128mb of storage. I know absolutely diddly about this music format and how files are gotten onto the player. Could anyone recomend a good mobile MP3 player? I would prefer first hand knowledge and suggestions please.

A flash based player like the creative muvo would seem to be perfect, and it also doubles as a flash storage device. Mine is one of the older 64mb devices and has no display, but the new ones have a small display that would really help with 128mb of music to choose from. They plug directly into a USB port and music is transferred by simple drag an drop in explorer. No driver is necessary for XP/2K/OS X which is handy in and of itself. Im afraid it's not too sporty, but it is extremely small and a case is available that wraps around your arm (bicep or forearm) for workouts etc...

My bro has the iRiver IFP-395T 512mb Flash player.
Product Link Features Summary: 512MB of internal memory, an integrated FM tuner, voice and FM recorder, sport arm band and neck strap, Sennheiser earphones and up to 24 hours of battery life on a single AA. Fill one up with your favorite music or use it as a portable drive to transfer files. Weighs 35g (excluding 1 AA batt). Cons: $299 MSRP. However, my bro believes that the item is well worth the price. Well you can always amortize the gift  (spread the cost over multiple occasions...this can be a B-day and X-mas gift). We bought our mom a Canon PowerShot camera for $500. We told her that it's our gift for all the occasions for that year (B-day, X-mas, Mother's Day, Valentines).He managed to drop the thing a number of times but it's still working so I guess it's durable.

I've had the iRiver iFP-140 for about a year now. It only has 64MB and no FM tuner. Transfering files (mp3 or wma) is very easy. It is really small and has a strap to wear it around it your neck. If I could do it again, I'd get a bigger one with FM tuner. Besides that I havent had any problems with it. The battery also lasts a really long time, which is an extra bonus. I think I saw this model at beast buy for $75 last week.
