Question Am I missing something with low end graphics card?

I have played Halo-Don't know why people are saying the game is slow. The game is ok-fast. What am I missing with my gf2ti?

Probably just some effects and the ability to run higher resolutions.

I m playing at 1024x768-I do not see anything wrong. I do notice a slowdown at the last stage before entering the ship. Thats all. Thanks anyway.

Halo is just really finicky about the system it is installed on. Some people, no matter how weak or powerful the system is, have a hard time. I'm with you though, the game runs like a dream on my 9700Pro. So it seems the game can be a pain or run smooth on any kind of system. Its the luck of the draw if you have problems or not. Great game!

I have a Geforce 2 mx 200 and i have the settings low (about 800x600, high detail, low particle etc.) It runs fine on my system but it took me a while to get the settings to look good and still be fast

I have a GeForce 4ti 4800 and I run the game with everything maxed out. It looks superb. However, for some odd reason the game does not support antialiasing or anistropic filtering. Very odd. It still looks great though. I don't see how you can run it at that resolution and still get decent frame rates. I have a GeForce 2MX 400 in my other computer and Medal of Honor barely runs at 800x600 and all the graphics set as low as possible. Everything is so blury and big and there are no effects.

I don't know. Drivers? maybe-I was using the 44.03 driver. I play 1027x768 and all settings maxed out. No problem. Sometimes it slows down when the loading text comes out. But I don't think that is due to my card. It does look great. Everything is great. All the games I have-I play all maxed out graphics-except for C&C generals. I have to play at lowest settings.

I did get the newest driver-I suffered bad graphics. So I kept using the 44.03.

Maybe my card-is so old that the new drivers do not work for my card.
