Radeon 9600 Pro EZ versioin? whats up with that?

I posted a thread not to long ago asking what the difference was in the Radon 9600 pro graphics cards and I got many replies that helped me choose. But many of the replys stated to stay away from the EZ or XT versions because they would be "slower". I'm not sure what makes a graphics card "slower" and what is wrong with these to versions. I'm really more interested in the EZ so any help on that would be greatly aperciated....thanks

The EZ version = The castrated version

The normal 9600 Pro has 50% faster memory. Avoid the EZ version. Radeon released the EZ version to take advantage of people who don't read the fine print.

Definitely get the second one you listed. Not the EZ.

Of the two, get the second one.

And as a side note, I don't know who told you the XT is 'slower', but they are wrong. The two XT's (9800/9600) are monsters compared to their Pro counterparts.

The 9700 Pro is so much better than the 9600XT. The 9600XT barley outperforms the 9600 Pro. Oh ya nd avoid the EZ versions.

You want to avoid the "EZ" and "SE" cards but the "XT" is fine.

I don't think the 9600XT has all the pipes the 9700 Pro has.
