Ti4200

I have this card, and I wanted to know how it compares nowadays. I want to know because I know it isn't the newest card on the block, but I can play unreal tournament 2003 at good quality and frame rates, and I am using a 1.8ghz celeron as well.

Just for starters it out performs the 5200 even in DX9 games.
True you'll have to dial down the effects in current games and you won't have AA or AF but it still gets the job done.

Basically, it's good for raw power. I just upgraded from a Ti4200 to an AIS 9600pro, and there is definately a quality difference, but not much in power.

For it's price, it's a pretty decent card.

Gf4ti cards are still righteous silicon. Not much can beat them in dx8 games, and they do pretty good in dx9. They will be around for a long time.

PS try the 4072whcl driver, it rocks.

Keep it and run it for all it's worth. LOTS of life left in it, that was the last really decent Nvidia series - the GF4Ti. By the time it starts falling on its face, today's top of the line will be history and you can buy a Radeon 12000 or a GF 7000 or whatever is the hot ticket then.
