Comp and Video Projector problem

for my church we run a video project for things etc. Well we just got a new computer, a p4 with a decent radeon vide ocard (dont know exact version), and 256 mb of DDR. The problem comes when we try to play DvD's. It plays fine on the computer monitor, but on the projector screen it just shows the program (windows media player) but where the movie would be, theres just black.

We have all windows updates installed, codecs etc. are instaleld as well as drivers. And everything else works fine through the projector, power points, flash movies, it just has trouble with video clips and dvd's.

From what I've been finding out, it looks like most of the time you can't have more than one output showing the movie, though there are some exceptions.

Just make sure the projector is connected as the primary display and it should work

Disable the computer monitor during DVD playback. That should do it. I know that's a painful set up, which is why when we do church installs, we have them get a seperate DVD player rather than use the DVD-Rom drive.

BTW, don't set up your projector as primary, keep it as secondary. Another one of those 'been there many times before' things.

Dave.
