I have just purchased a medion 5.1 speaker system and is plugged into a c-media sound card which is built into the motherboard.
This is a 6 channel sound card. The problem I am having is that it plays DVD's and music coming from my TV card through all speakers and the sub woofer. But when I try to play mp3 tracks from the hard drive it does not come through the centre speaker or sub woofer. Is this normal, the music sounds ok but no bass? Please help? |

I don't know why it's not going through the sub woofer but I have never heard music come through the center speaker on my Logitech Z-640's with my C-Media 6 channel onboard sound. What mother board do you have?

Once I had a problem where nothing came out of the sub - when I updated the sound card drivers everything was fine.
Possibly check the equilizer in your mp3 program as well, maybe the bass is just turned down? |
