clueless

Okay, I'm sorta new at this, but i have a good idea of what i'm doing. Anyway, i bought some new parts to make a comp and i'm pretty sure the are all compatible. Everything was hooked up and i did a test run, but the monitor keeps going to sleep!!
I have no idea what is wrong, I think it might be the video card, but i don't know.

What components are you using?

Do you get any beeps during boot up (if it boots up at all)? If so, what beeps?
