Unhappy CD-ROM auto play

Any CD I insert into my machine will not auto play.
Music, new program install, nada.

I have to start Media Player or if installing go to My Computer, click on the drive and find the start up manually.

All help appreciated.
Thanks.

For music, a program needs to be associated with music CDs. You can usually specify this options/preferences in programs, or upon installation.

In the properties of the drive there should be an option for auto play.

Double click my computer, right click on the drive and choose properties. You will see a tab on the top for auto play.

BTDT.Set Music CD's to Play.
Still get nothing when I insert a CD into the drive.
It spins, light blinks and then stops.
