Sapphire Atlantis Radeon 9600 PRO vs. XT

The shop here sells Sapphire's Atlantis Radeon 9600 PRO and the 9600 XT. They both appear to have the same specs, but the 9600 XT costs a bit less. Which is the better frame-rate pusher?

They are exactly the same except the XT has a faster core clock speed (500mhz instead of 400mhz) and the XT also has a bigger peak fill rate of of 2000megapixels instead of 1600

so i suggest if they are selling the XT cheaper get it for sure

just out of interest which cardmaker is it and whats the price difference

I said Sapphire didn't I? Well if you're asking for something else then I'm not sure. The price difference here is larger to us than it is to anyone outside our continent. The difference is R 445, or US$ 62, or (if your location is legit) AU$ 80.

Well the shop that sells it is called ComputersOnly, you can get the price-list from there. I don't know what it would mean to anyone, seeing as it's in South African Rands.

That's really strange pricing - looks to me like the Gigabyte 9600XT at R 1999.00 is the best deal there.

as of 10 days ago the reseller price has been dropped (9600 pro to 9600xt) by R400 by the distributors Rectron.
XT is the better buy.

Thanks glc, I didn't even see that. Should I go for Gigabyte over Sapphire then? It's cheaper in price, yes, but in performance? Sounds likely. Thanks so far guys.
