If you can spend 100, then get a GeForce 4 Ti 4200. they're quite good for the money right now, despite being only direct x 8
But I have the exact same card you wanna buy, and its great for my purposes. |

That 9000 Pro is a good card for the money, but it's not a strong gamer. What are your priorities?
The AGP slot in your mobo is a 4x slot, so there's no real need for an 8x card. |

I am doing moderate gaming, my computer lags a little playing Ghost Recon. I'm looking to take some of the load off of my cpu. So should i go with the 9200 as Morris suggested? Thanks all

The Ti4200 is a better gamer, and is running at $89 at newegg, right now. |

I would really like to go with ati, if possible, but if there is a HUGE difference with nvidia, for the same price, then i'll go with them. Does the 4200 blow the 9200 away?

If you want to go with ATI (and I agree with that decision) I'd save a bit more cash and get a 9600 to get the full DirectX 9 support.
