Burned CD wont play on sound system

Yo guys. I got this odd problem, I was making a back-up of my Rob Zombie CD, and after I burned it, I popped it in the Sound system to m ake sure it worked, and its like the CD player doesnt even recognize it...it wont pick it up, it wont play it...nothing...

I havnt used my burner in a while, but I never remember encountering this problem before...usually I just pop burn them and they work fine...Ive tried it on 2 different brands of CD-RW disks, Office Depot brand 2x and Maxell 12x.

First I tried copying the files from the CD with WMP, and then just burning them to the CD with Nero, and then I tried copying from the CD directly and still...doesnt work.

The CD works on the computer, just not on the CD player...But Ive done this before, so Im thingking maybe its something about the CD's Im buying, Im using Maxell 12x CD-RW's...Maybe the format Im saving them as?? Its .wma, and I think I need to make them .mp3, but wouldnt that have been fixed when I copied directly from the CD...this is wierd guys..any help is greatly appreciated.

CD-RW's usually will not play in some audio players since they are not written the same as CD-Rs. Does your player support MP3 and CD-RWs? Possible that your player does not support Windows Media Audio Format.

did you finalize the cd's? if not they sometimes will not play in other systems. try playing it in your drive that you burnt it from.

does OTHER burned CDs work on your system? Maybe your system's kinda old... sort of "pre-CD-R's" old?

Buy yourself a spindle of CD-R's. RW's are flaky enough in computer CD drives, it takes a really good consumer CD player to be able to read them.

50 for 15 bucks.
