Making Karoke Songs
I have this song that i want to take the singing portion out of so that only the music will be there. In other words i want only the instrumental. I've been lookin on google but haven't found much stuff that i could use. If anyones has any suggestions on where to look please reply.

It's a DirectX plugin for most any audio editing application. But they do offer a Winamp plugin as well. Don't count on it working that well - most audio engineers and mastering engineers don't put all the vocals in the exact center of the stereo spectrum and that is what the program relys on. Good luck. Dave.

If you look at the bottom of a Karaoke Cd, you will see that they are a bunch of different tracks. It is a different format called CD+G. MOST cd burners don't support it. Make sure you read the side of the box carefully before you buy.

GOLDWAVE will do it. It isn't perfect but it works for free. Just open the file and click on vocal reduction. HERE is a screenshot to help you find that button.

ElecroFreak2002: The problem is, music is not meant to be seperated the way you want to do it. I've got equipement in my studio worth thousands of dollars and although I can partially remove some vocals from some recordings, it's a pure crap shoot 99% of the time. It's almost impossible.
Hi Ho: Goldwave's vocal reduction just reduces the EQ in the vocal range, it really hurts the sound of the over all recording. Dave. |

That it does, but it is probably the best you will find for free.
