Black Gold Media Centre Digital TV Card- Few Problems, Please help
I purchased a Black Gold Media Centre Digital and installed it in my Shuttle. I have to say it gives an excellent picture and I am happy. The problem is when I am doing something while watching TV or listening the the radio the sound and picture constantly skips. For example. pressing send/recieve in outlook or scrolling down a web site etc. Really annoying! I'm sure this shouldn't happen as I should be able to watch TV and do some stuff at the same time.
Anyone know why this is happening? I can't listen to the radio if I want to do anything! |

Shuttle SN41G2 AMD Athlon 2600+ 512Mb 3200/400 Kingston RAM 160Gb Seagate Super Quiet Baracuda 7200rpm 8Mb Cache Hard Drive ATI Radeon 9000 Pro Black Gold Media Centre Digital TV Card Black Sony 4x DVD Writer Black Floppy Drive Running Windows XP Media Center Edition. Just can't run any programs without it skipping! |

Are you on broadband or dialup?
It may be a RAM issue. What other programs do you have running in the background? How much of a resource hog is the TV card? I'm going to throw out the idea of it possibly being an IRQ issue. You may be trying to pump too much data through a single channel. You may want to try putting the tuner in a different PCI slot and see if that helps your cause. |
