Laptop (Do Yours Have S-Video Out?)

I'm having a problem with the video on my laptop. Here's the problem, when I hook up my laptop to my TV through the s-video output on my laptop, the video when I play real one player or windows media player will only show up on the laptop monitor. Everything else shows up on the TV except for the video playback on those two programs. Anyone else ever have this problem?

If it helps at all my laptop is a Dell Inspiron 5000/ 650 mhz PIII/ 256 mb Ram/ DVD Drive/ win XP.

Oh when I play a dvd through the Dell Power DVD program it works on the TV so I'm guessing the problem has to do with Windows Media Player or Real Player

Thanks

My desktops do the same thing. I have no idea why but I just set the TV as the primary monitor and it works fine.
