WMP9 Doesn't Detect CD Burner

Windows Media Player 9 will not detect my CD burner to burn a WMP9 playist to audio CD (cda format). The CD burner and its playback properties are OK, they work with everything else.

The CD burner will work with iTunes, Roxio 5, and Nero. But Windows Media Player doesn't know it as a burner. It will play audio files from CD.

Under the tools and devices, it's there. I tried adding the Roxio Creator burn engine. It said it installed successfully twice. But when I open WMP, the program wont' detect my burner.

I'm running XP Pro SP1 w/all updates

Roxio 5 and Nero are both loaded with no conflicts. Only Direct CD loaded.

iTunes loaded.

Any ideas?

The problem of no device detected isn't uncommon. But this lunk head just discovered I don't need WMP9 to burn .wma files to CD. Both my Roxio 5 and Nero 5 will handle it just fine!
I never messed with .wma files, so I didn't know. I just didn't want to get into unnecessary conversion.
