3dmark2001 score
Just built my new system and I was a bit disapointed with the performance of my video card.
My 3dmark2001 score is 9300 or so. P4 2.8c Intel 865PERL Mobo 512 MB Dual channel PC3200 RAM Gainward Ti4200 128MB Is 9300 ok for this set up? The video card is a bit old and I know there are better out there now. I've OC'ed the card using cool bits to get the 9300 score. Just wondering if I can get a bit more performance out of my set up. |

You should be getting higher. I score around 8000 with my 2.4b 512mb pc2700 and 64mb geforce 4 mx 440 @ 460 speeds.

See if any physical cooling changes can make a difference - in other words, make sure the fan is adequate and working. Then make sure that the latest drivers are working, and that the CPU has adequate cooling too - Intel tend to underclock themselves when they are getting hot (northwoods generally run very cool).
Hope that helps, kram
