9800 pro 128 vs 9800 128
I went to the ATI website and i looked up the differences between the two. These three categories were the only differences, are these differences worth paying 70$ for? The left half is the 9800 PRO 128, and the right half is the regular 9800 128.
Clock Speed (MHz) 380e/680m ,,, 325e/580m Pixel Fillrate 3.04 Gpixels/sec ,,, 2.6 Gpixels/sec Geometry Rate 380 Mtriangles/sec ,,, 325 Mtriangles/sec I'd want to get a video card that won't be outdated too soon, but I also wanted to know if there is a big difference between the two. Thanks, Jake |

Basically, I would get the ATI Radeon 9700 Pro instead of the Radeon 9800, but if you intend to use your computer for intensive gaming, or if you want your graphics card to last a long time, I would get the Radeon 9800 Pro.
Looking at the chart, Radeon 9800 Pro is clearly the faster canidate. I'm not quite sure what geometry rate is, but rest assured - its performance is very nice. Hope that helps, kram
