I have a Soundblaster live 5.1 sound card, and bought a Kinyo 5.1 Home Theatre Speaker System (R-765) to go with it.
when i plug the Kinyo into the sound card in the same colour slots as the pins i get no sound at all. When i swop one (the pink one) to the digital out socket then i get sound but it hisses and crackles really badly. I disabled the onboard sound from the motherboard and it has made no difference. I have also triied switching the pins into diff holes and its made no diff, only one configuration produces any sound and thats the one where it crackles and hisses. Incidentally only one speaker is actually making any noise albeit crackling and hissing. |

I have narrowe ddown the problem to the sound card, another set of speakers do the same thing as the ones i just bought. What could be up with the sound card so that it wont play through the speakers, and when it dos it only plays through one and hisses and crackles?

Nice job.
Am I right in thinking you had Digital enabled when it should have analog? |
