Question about onboard-sound
My new motherboard has an onboard audio built in. I want to use my PCI soundcard though. Would installing that come into conflict with the onboard? Do i need to disable/uninstall it somehow?

Normally, you will need to disable the onboard sound in the BIOS.

Yes, you will be able to disable it in a section of your BIOS titled something along the lines of "Onboard devices configuration". This is also where you could disable options such as onboard LAN or video, if your mobo has these features.
