I use Limewire to find and download various different file types. I also have the Getright program to help resume downloads where I left off when I am kicked offline. I am wondering if there is a way to configure the Getright to run downloads with the Limewire so that I can resume where I am kicked off rather than starting the download all over again in limewire? Or is it just wishful thinking?

There is a program that let's you do just that and it is called download accelerator. I've used this program for some time, and when you get kicked off, it usually let's you resume the download from when you were kicked off. I think you can find it here: http://www.speedbit.com/ HTH

FYI, the Gnutella network, and all it's clients (I think) will NOT support GetRight, DAP, or others.
I use Bearshare because it has a built in resume function for files with the same name. If you find a file you want (let's call it "mydownload.zip") and you get half way through when it quits. You search again and find 3 or 4 files called "mydownload[1].zip", obviously the same file, just a slightly different name, use Explorer to browse the folder you designated as the temp folder, and change the filename (the partial file you already have half of) to "mydownload[1].zip and then start the download. It will recognize the filename, and start where it left off. I don't think limewire or the other gnutellums have that feature, AFAIK, only Bearshare does. Give it a shot http://www.bearshare.org or http://www.bearshare.com |

Thanks Reboot. Downloaded the Bearshare and I am going to try it out. Been trying various different programs like this since I installed the CD RW. Limewire worked better for me than the Napsters. Maybe Bearshare will be even better. Especially if it will resume the downloads. Living out here in cow patty land makes a good net connection hard to get.
