PCmech pages slow to load at work.
When I have a few minutes free at work I like to take a quick look at the PCmech forums. Lately, it takes 20 to 30 seconds to load a new screen. My company is using Symantec site blocker for certain types of web sites(porn,cars,humor,etc). Could the site blocker be causing the slow load speed?

It happens with me too, periodically during peak hours (3PM and 7 PM). It's been happening for some time - just been occuring frequently lately.

short answer - yes
with all of the issues with -sexual discrimimation - I have seen people looking at porn at work! (they don't work there anymore........) - wasted comapny time looking at (fill in the blank) instead of working - the need to track where peolpe are going for corporate confidentiality -virus/trojan attacks from web sites - etc etc you bet that they are adding both hardware and software to try to protect themselves.
