remembering text (shortcutting through Google)
a little thing that has been bugging me for a while is I actually have never found out how you stop windows from remembering what you type in eg: when you type in "hello" on google, if you simply click in the text box it will list all the things you have typed in, is there any way to turn this off?

In IE, click Tools/Content and select the Autocomplete button. You can modify the settings there.

I can't remember at the moment but if you want to delete one you can highlight it and press delete, I find this useful if the list is full of junk stoppung you getting to regular searches. To clear it all I find it is tools->Internet Options->Content->Autocomplete.
Edit: Seems I was beaten to it, you got a better answer though from mairving. |
