wireless router - ADSL gateway combination

Hi
my parents have an ADSL gateway (thompson http://www.speedtouch.com/prod350360.htm)
my father just called me and told me he had bought a wireless router ( http://www.eurosys.be/item.asp?ItemNo=138876 )
the gateway has a dhcp server. an i assume the router will have one also how would i combine these???

please take note my dad also told me he accidently set a admin pasword and forgot the password so if i could keep the gateway as is that would be verry nice

if not does annyone have anny experience on how to solve this password problem????
i've told my dad to reset the modem and that did not help (i'll try it myself when i get home but i have no reason to think he did not do it right)

i don't know if this belongs here might be better placed under networking
(i just realized it to late sorry)

Return the router, get a standard switch and a standalone wireless access point. This will allow the gateway to continue working as your DHCP server.

Your only other really decent option is to do a hard reset on the gateway and kick it into the bridge mode to feed the router.

thanks for the reply ,
i tryed just hoking it up, just to see, and apperantly it works as-is
so i am leaving it, taking the old adagio "if it works, leave it alone" to heart.
sorry for wasting your time

just in case i need it in the future how would i hard-reset the gateway? i tryed unplugging the electricity for half an hour and no change.
it has only one 1 buton, the on-buton
it's the beul-one on here (this is the page provided by the ISP who also provided the thing itself; http://www.belgacom.be/private/nl/js...sl_wiredmodems

*edit*/; nevermind i think i found it

for reference ; i found it here; http://www.speedtouch.com/pdf/ST500%..._en%20R4.2.pdf

sorry for wasting everybody's time
