I get an error msg with a chk box that asks if I want to restart ie and a box that asks if I want to send an error report to MS. I have run Spybot and everything else is fine. I'll let you know the error but it is a kernel error.

The exact error message and version of IE is needed to troubleshoot this. If it's IE6, you may want to uninstall it and revert to 5.x (add/remove programs, IE6, add/remove, restore previous configuration), it's a lot less troublesome on 98.
