IE 6: Disable Automatic Switching Windows
HI,
Hopefully you could help me out with this annoying problem I have with Internet Explorer 6. The problem is the automatic switching windows that bugs me. Say, if I open up two windows, I have a read at a website in Window A while Window B loads another website. I would not be finished reading the text in Window A when IE 6 switches windows with Window B. I want to disable this automatic window switching but I can't find anything that describes this feature in Internet Options. I rather have control so that I can visit Window B in my own time than have it forced upon me. If this doesn't make sense, please let me know and I'll re-phrase. Can you please help me out? I have Windows 98 SE and my version of IE6 is 6.0.2800.1106IC |

I'm not sure if that is possible, but Firefox uses tabbed-browsing which good do what you want, and you don't have to mess around with multiple windows, if you like IE6 then only use this as a last resort.
