IE Favourite's Icons
See Attached File.
As you can see PC Mech is the only favourite I have with the actual Icon. This is because I only put it onto my favourites today. When I reboot it will go back to the default IE one. This machine is NT4 but it also happens on my home pc which is XP Pro. Both are the latest IE 6 versions. Is there a way to keep all the original icons? |

You did not attach any file but I know what you mean. There is a way to keep the icons. You need to copy the icons to a folder where there are safe and then edit the link in your favourites menu.

Well, it wasn't a pain for me. .. sure, it meant some work, but since I don't add several websites every day I only needed to do it once for all icons, and once for a new website.

I had about 20 but there was this program that did it all for you in that link. So it wasn't a pain in the end.
