Angry Fire Blocking Unwanted Emails?

Stupidly I asked for a list of DVD's off an Ebay seller, ever since I have been receiving lots of unwanted emails, just rubbish really and quite often these contain virus's, one of the virus's works without even opening an attachment. This is my primary email address and I am totally fed up with it! I am using Outlook Express 6, is there any program or something (preferably free) that will stop this spam without stopping wanted emails? Or am I better off changing my email address? Please help

Always use a freebie like Yahoo mail when signing up for anything online. You can have many accounts, btw. It puts SPAM in separate folder and also scans any attachments using Norton on regular mail.

See if your ISP has some kind of spam-blocking feature.

If the spam is coming from one place, you can set up rules in OE to delete the messages immediately so you don't have to see them. However, creating rules for every new piece of spam can get out of hand.

Sarge's idea of using a throwaway e-mail address is also a very good one.

Products like Mailwasher have been recommended here as well.

Mailwasher is the best as far as I am concerned. I get alot of SPAM, but with MW they get fewer & fewer every week.
