Dump IE and use ???

snooker has a good post on Why you should dump IE

What are some good options? What do you use?

How does FireFox compare to Opera? What about Netscape (once a good product until AOL got it... but how is it now?)

I'd say take a good look at FireFox, I've been using some flavor of Mozilla the past 3 years and have been very pleased with it. I've tried MyIE2 wannabe, Opera and Nutscrape but I would return to Mozilla pretty fast.

I'd recommend Mozilla. or Mozilla Firefox. I used Opera for about eight or nine months, preferred Mozilla.

I prefer Opera primarily because the tabbed browsing is easy to configure and the "back" and "forward" buttons are instantaneous. It also has some other features that I prefer the way they are handled over other packages. That said, Firefox is a VERY impressive package and handles some things better than Opera. I don't need all the other features of Mozilla except the Composer module, and there are some things it can do that Firefox doesn't - yet. AOL has turned Netscape into a nasty bloated package. I have no use for any IE "wannabe" or shell such as MyIE2 (sorry, HiHo).

I'd use Opera or Firefox. I've been using Opera for a couple years and really like it. However, at least to me it seems that Firefox is just a niche faster than Opera.
