This makes no sense (router problem)

This is driving me crazy. My wife's computer all of a sudden couldn't get internet today. I found some strange things, so we just decided to reformat. It still wouldn't connect. We use a BEFW11S4 Linksys wireless router. Hers is connected via one of the wired ports, just like mine. I tried a new cable, nothing. I tried a different port, and still nothing. I tried a new NIC in her machine, nothing. Every other computer has access, no matter which port or hub configuration I try. Hers is the only one out 6 computers not connecting. It's not even visible on the network. The only way I can get her computer to get internet, is to connect it directly to the DSL modem, plug in our IP numbers, then everything is roses. That rules out the machine. Since all of the other computers can connect, that also rules out the router. What the heck is going on? I'm stumped on this one.

What operating system? If it's XP, make sure the XP firewall is disabled.

Can you ping the router from the machine? Are all the proper protocols (TCP/IP) installed for the NIC? If the router uses DHCP, is that enabled?
