I know this is a loaded question but I need some basic knowledge here.
Currently I have MS Exchange installed on one of the servers I have here at work. This server has its own static IP (one of the IP's we were issued from our ISP) and access to the internet via DSL. Currently we have the capability to email each other in-house as long as your using a machine that's logged onto the network and Outlook is configured to see the server running Exchange. What I want to do is configure Exchange to receive/send emails to and from the internet. We currently have another company hosting our internet domain name and I asked them about the possability of doing this. They said that they could set up individual POP3 accounts for all of our employees but I don't think that this is what I want since all of the user accounts would reside on their server. What I want is for them to act as a host to redirect internet emails addressed to myname@ourdomainname.com to our Exchange server and then have Exchange route them to the appropriate mail box. I have never done this setup, but I understand that it's quite simple for your host to do this - it involves them doing something with their "MX" records to redirect all domain mail to your Exchange server.
