You could always grab an AOL disk couldnt ya?

I dont really know if there are many free ISP's... or any at all. You could try in the phone book and just call some companies and see if they have trial period type things that you might be able to use.

There are some 10 hr/mo free. Extra charge for overtime. Get an online e-mail box and hop around.

Good luck connecting to free Juno or Netzero except at 4am.

Yeah, you can get a free month out of AOL, but you have to install their bloatware. For minimum impact on your system, Earthlink is offering 1/2 price for the first 6 months, you can cancel at any time. This makes the cost $10.97 a month, and NO software is required, just sign up online, get a username and password, and set up dialup networking and your mail client (or just use the webmail interface if you don't care about POP mail). As a benefit, Earthlink has server side virus and spam filtering on your e-mail. Even the $9.95 a month Netzero Platinum and the Juno equivalent requires you install their software.

You could sign up for like as many as possible limited time ISPs as possible and just alternate.

AOL is about the only with a trial period any more. Even Fry's makes people pay from day one now.

If you don't mind installing software, MSN is offering 2 free months dialup right now.
