I am trying to set up a shared Earthlink account using a D-Link router, so far not much success, I thought it would be similar to my Ameritech account set-up using a NetGear router. It uses PPPOE, anybody here had any experience with this particular ISP and sharing?

You need to download he latest firmware from D-link, and then set up PPPoE through the browser set up.

They don't have a firmware upgrade for the DI-704, I took my NetGear router over there and it works great, I took the D-Link home and it doesn't work there either. It's either a defective router or I haven't figured out how to make it work yet, it certainly isn't making me think of buying any more D-Link products in the future.
