But when try talking I can here my friends and cousins very perfectly but they cant here me. I tested my head/microphone on VOICE RECORDER shows it works fine but they who try to chat can't here me. Is there anyone with suggestion(s) on what to do?[ |

Hi BSA!
It might be a good idea to let us know which program you're using for your voice as well as the hardware you have installed.. I use Yahoo Instant Messenger voice chat all the time. I have Ventrillo installed, too. I use a Plantronics headset. Go into your control panel and look at your sound settings. Make sure you have the microphone checked. You may have to click on the Advanced and tweak those settings too. Check your microphone settings in the sound options and make sure that your headset is listed, preferably as the primary microphone. Checking the "boost" option may make a difference. My friends can't hear me on Yahoo if I have boost checked, but if I'm on Ventrillo, they can't hear me unless I have "boost" checked. If you're working with a webcam, good luck! I have a logitech quick cam messenger (usb connection), and while I can get video, I cannot get audio to work at all. Yes, the web cam has a microphone, but I can't figure out whether or not it doesn't work due to my control panel settings or for some other reason. Hope you get your problems solved! |
