Just a small thing

Hey guys,

I have my new computer running on XP Pro and I still have my old computer running on Windows ME, working perfectly fine.

I installed AOL9.0 onto the new system no problem and I can connect fine. I just made this small observation that it connects a little slower than my old system does, which obviously connects a bit faster.

I completely cleared my browser cache but it didn't really make much difference like it does on my other system. It's a small speed difference, but I was just wondering if there is any particular reason for this.

TIA...

Might want to do a little testing at PC Pitstop and see if the speed difference is real or a matter of perception. You can test the entire computer or just do an Internet download or upload test. www.pcpitstop.com

They are indeed. Although I'm not running both PC's at the same time. My old system is sitting under my desk, covered in dust protectors so it doesn't gather dust while it sits there

And I'll have a look at that link. Thanks Panama Red

Okies, I did the tests, but the connection speed pretty much stays the same. It could just be AOL9.0 being AOL9.0 *shrugs*

Thanks very much for all the help though
