Bnc

Hi

Can anyone explain to me what a bnc server or network is?

BNC is basically a coax cable. Not much used nowadays since ethernet took over. More info

Couldn't get the link to work, but BNC stands for British Navel Connector and, as mairving mentioned above, was used a lot on older shielded / coax cable setups.

Actually according to the link:

Short for Bayonet Neill Concelman connector, (sometimes erroneously called a British Naval Connector or Bayonet Nut Connector

bnc is better in some places, because it's schielded, it's leff vunerable and you don't need to connect to a hub you can just go from one worstation on to the next ( witch makes laying the network easyer in some instances.

just want to say; it's not because it's old that it's obslete (or useless)
