I just switched to fire fox and I have some vexing problems. 1st I cannot view the windows update page. 2nd I bank thru usaa and their web site uses java script. I have all the java scripting in fire fox enabled, but the usaa web page tells me that I do not have the java scripts enabled. Any suggestions or ideas would be appreciated thank you.

1) Windows Update requires IE to function, it's not a normal page to use Firefox with it. So use IE when you want something from WU.

Thanks. I actually read up on it a little and it has to do with actixe x controlls and fire fox not having them. Now I just need to fix the java problem.

Are you sure its java scripts and not java? If its java then you need to get a plug-in like sun java.

Hey Radio, what are the chances that you have Java installed on your computer? If you just made the switch from Internet Explorer, there is a good chance you might not have it installed yet. Run over to the faq section of Firefox and they have a wonderful step by step of how to get it working. Hope that helps.

I checked the USAA website, it says it requires JavaScript and not Java, I enabled all of the features of JavaScript and it still displays that message at the top of the page, but there is a login box too.
Did you try to login? |

I checked that page too, and it just says "Your browser must be set to enable JavaScript to take full advantage of all the features of usaa.com." It does not say that your browser doesn't have JavaScript enabled, just that it has to be enabled. So I would give it a try and see if it works.
