internet explorer problems
Hello,
For the last month or so I have had trouble searching the web with internet explorer. On any search engine I have tried when you type the subject and click search the computer freezes for about 30 seconds. Finally you see the progress bar on the bottom right (it appears after the whole screen blinks momentarily) and the results appear. If you leave the subject field blank and click search it works normally, but of course there are no results to display. I have tried updating my windows xp as well as IE itself but nothing seems to help. I accessed a website full of old tv commercials right before this trouble started. Any help is appreciated. Thank you

hmm, sounds like that site may have installed some kind of malware or something. Try scanning your computer with adaware and spybot.

Have you trie3d clearing your temp. internet files(cache),tool>internet options>under temporary internet files click delete, this clears your cache, also you may want to download spybot search and destroy and ad aware these are 2 free programs that will help get rid of spyware on your rig.

IE sucks with everything. plus i dont know if you have heard but our own government is telling the public to stop using IE. it has no protection so you get alot of spyware/viruses.
i use firefox and i love it. another good one is mozilla (i think thats how 2 spell it) |

I tried both spybot and adaware with no results but I did not try the temporary internet files cache. I will try that now. I did hear that microsoft is scrambling to fix a big hole in ie with patches until the new xp service pack comes out. You have to wonder!
