Anyone tried this service? Are they a reputable company to deal with? Registration requires a credit card number despite the service being free. Their website http://www.dotnow.com claims to have pops in Australia, so I was thinking of trying them out.

Hmmm never heard of them, but in my thinking, anything that requires a credit card # just can't be exactly "free."

It may be that they want to limit access by minors. A lot of the free access sites were doing this before they went under. Seems that advertisers don't want to pay for minors viewing advertising and the site don't want to use up bandwidth.

Not Likley
It's not likley just for age verification because banks and credit card companies readily hand out cards to minors and even family pets. Having a credit card is not proof of age.

DotNow? no way......DotNO!
They will just take someinfo. You can not set up your accout after you DL'ded their software. It's a waste of time. Lucky for me I gave them my closed CCard number. |
