Clearing Google Search History?

A few years ago some "certain words" were typed into the Google website on my other computer. Since then the addresses, search bar history, website history, cache, cookies, and form data have been cleared many times. However, those words still show up in a drop down menu when the first letter is typed in Google search. Where on earth are these things stored? I didn't even type them and I don't want people thinking I did.

In the Google search box hit the down arrow, highlight the offensive terms, and hit delete.

In Firefox go to Tools > Options > Privacy and click the Clear button next to Saved Form Information. This should clear the built-in Google search box as well.

You can also highlight a search item and press shift+enter to delete individual items.

Err, it's shift+delete and not enter, I don't know what I was thinking about when I typed that...

Well that's what I did except I didn't hit shift, I just hit delete and it worked.
