HELP restricting a users ability to Print and Save As

I have MS-Office files (mostly word, excel, & powerpoint) posted on a server that is accessible to a user base. Today users can open their browser, navigate to a directory listing (sort of like Windows Explorer) of a bunch of files, and click on a particular file (say an Excel spreadsheet) to either open it or download it. When the file is opened it can be changed, saved to their local HD, or copied and pasted to other applications.

There are times I'd like to post a file that I only want the users to open (preferably in their native format, i.e., spreadsheet, presentation, etc.) and view. I don't want users to be able to print, download (save as), or cut/copy/past the contents of the file. Basically I'm trying to protect the content of the material.

Is there someway (either through available off the shelf software, development within Java or Internet Explorer, or other) this can be done? If so, is anybody aware of a web site today that I could go to to see this capability demonstrated?

Thanks

MS has a new server software out that does just this, you can even prevent the user from using print screen.

Thank you. I'll look into this immediately. If anyone else has other thoughts as well, keep them coming.
