Question IE Issue with http:// ??

Hi People,

I have an issue with IE at the moment.

When i type in a URL into the Address bar with the http:// in front it works fine, if i just type in a url without the http:// it says IE explorer couldn;t open the search page ???

I have already done the below
Reinstall IE and updated it
deleted all cached paged
flusted the DNS cache
tried using a proxy server

and am fresh out of ideas, so any more would be greatly looked upon

Cheers

Jon

Welcome to PC Mech forums

Well, it really depends on what webpage you're going to - if you're going to a website that will accept the URL without the "WWW", it will allow you to go there, but otherwise, your URL will be pointing at "http://jibjab.com". My suggestion would be to type in "jibjab" and press Ctrl+Enter. By the way - saw that clip weeks ago, I must say it was great

Hope that helps,
kram
