I Am Using Microsoft XP/ Internet Explorer Version 6 & When I Try 2 Open Certain Sites, My Browser Closes By Itself.

What sites are you trying to access? It may just be the site. Maybe it has some kind of javascript running that closes the window. Post some links so other members can try it to see what is up. Welcome to the forums by the way!

Are you up to date on your Windows Updates? Are you running a fully updated AntiVirus program? If so, have you scanned your system with it lately? Do you have Adaware and Spybot installed? They should be updated and run regularly also. Lastly, check your Security Settings in the IE tools/Internet options area. Set them all to the default settings.

Do what PR said...those pages definitely should not close down when you visit them. I thought if it was some obscure website it might, but not those. I would first check for Spyware and Adware on your computer first. That is probably most likely. Then check your Interent settings. Then if it still isn't working, try the rest of the stuff Panama suggested. (Virus Checking, etc).

Can you make it to Mozilla.org? Break your IE habit unless you like the idea of insecurity. Exploits are few and far between with other browsers. Go to Start, Run, and type in "iexplore http://housecall.trendmicro.com" without the quotes.

P.S. Yes I'm trolling and YES I hate IE. Wouldn't touch it with a 10 foot pole except for Housecall on Windows boxes.
