Download Accelerators

Are they any good? Ive seen a couple of them arround but they just look like a big bucket of spyware. Does anyone know a good spyware free download accelerator?

I use FlashGet... there is another one that more people use but I can't recall the name. Haven't had spyware from this one, and if I have it was gone after the first cleaning and never came back.

Yes they are good and worth the download. Star Downloader is a good one but it doesnt have a leech option.

Most servers can send you a file faster then you can recieve it though, because of the 56k barrier. On Cable/DSL which can get really fast, they can get your download speed, but from several different places, making it possible to get much faster transfers then when only connected to one server.
