IEXPLORE invalid page fault

I'm working on a Dell, its got Win 98. Here's the problem, everytime IE 6 is opened it instantly crashes giving the following error, to slove this i degradeed to IE 5 with a simular response except that the error only happens when IE is closed the error is :

I've searched around on Microsofts knowledge base aswell as different fourms trying to find an fix, so far I've deleted all *.pwl files and renamed the Applog folder. I'm running out of idea's so any help you can give would be greatly appreciated, Thank you
